Read Through the Entire Word

Pastor’s Note - PRA•X•IS was our 2018-2019 sermon series. The word “praxis” means “practice”, and the letters "PRA IS represented five spiritual practices: Pray for the entire world, Read through the entire word, Add to the community, Invest in the kingdom, and Send yourself to the nations. The X represented Christ, as he should be in the middle of our spiritual behaviors. We have maintained these webpages for our Spiritual Road Map, but some material does specifically connect that prior sermon series. You can find those sermons here on our website.

We have several options for Reading Through the Entire Word.

Our first recommendation would be to use a one-year, Bible app reading plan that you can complete together with a friend or group. Here are three excellent options:

  1. The One Year Bible by Tyndale House.

  2. The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel

  3. The Bible Project: One Story that Leads to Jesus

For those who wish something faster, you can try the B90X challenge (not normally our first recommendation), of reading the whole Bible in 90 days.

4. The Bible in 90 Days

5. If you want a paper version of a 90 day reading plan, you can download that here.

Originally, the church used "The Bible in 90 Days" by Zondervan.  The Read Through the Entire Word Sermon Series ran from February 3-March 3, 2019.

We highly recommend the Participant's Guide for "The Bible in 90 Days" is a great tool.  You can buy it online here.

John Walton's Essential Bible Companion is also an excellent text and is available here.
